!!!!Get Informed About Possible Skin Infections and How They Can Be Avoided!!!!
Good Hygiene Is Extremly Important to a Wrestler and Their Team - Do Your Part!
RULES:
1. Do not wear used/soiled workout clothes to practice (this includes PE clothes).
2. Take a shower with soap and hot water within 30 minutes of working-out.
3. Completly dry off using a clean towel.
4. Check your body daily for anything that looks out of the "norm".
5. Report anything unusual to the Coaching Staff and your parents.
When you wrestle you sweat. When playing contact sports minor scrapes and scratches occur on the skin. Wrestling is a contact sport and by nature exposed skin will be in contact with other people's exposed skin. It is very important that if you have any open cuts or scratches that you cover them with bandages.
It is important to know about fungal and bacterial infections. If you suspect you may have an infection, you should report it and not wrestle until being cleared. It has been common in the wrestling community for one athlete to spread an infection to an entire team making it impossible for your teammates to compete. If you must sit out, you should still come to practice so that you will not miss any new techniques being taught.
